David came to our house and sat down with us on a Sunday. We told him what we wanted and he gave us some more suggestions. Between the 3 of us, we came up with the most beautiful porch ever!! We couldn't be happier with it. It is everything we asked for and more!!! I would call him with some additional things that we came up with and he was so very accommodating! I thought after a while he wouldn't want to answer the phone, but he always did!! His whole crew were very polite and considerate! Before they left for the day, they always cleaned up. Of course they started in the coldest part of December but they worked straight through. I cant express how happy I am with the work he did!! I HIGHLY recommend Tignor Carpentry for just about anything you need done around the house. I will be having them come back to help finish our basement!!!

For even small jobs like mine, David is very professional and will fit you into their schedule. The work was accomplished timely and we can not be any happier with the finished product!

5 stars and my highest recommendation! Tignor Carpentry did excellent work on two projects at my house, including building a new deck and new construction of a workshop. The owner and his team are consummate professionals and the process was superb from start to finish.
The owner came out quickly to do an initial consultation, and took detailed notes and photos to ensure his estimate and proposal accurately reflected the scope of work we discussed. Once work began, his team came on time and worked as professionals to finish the job faster than expected so we could entertain guests on the new deck. I will be using Tignor Carpentry for all my carpentry and remodel needs, and highly recommend this veteran-owned business.

If I could give Tignor Carpentry 10 stars I would. David and his crew were one of the BEST contractors we have ever worked with. We had a few changes/upgrades we wanted throughout the building process, and David was very patient and accomodating. They were fast, professional, and the quality of their work is outstanding. We'll certainly be using Tignor Carpentry for all of our future home reno needs!

They did a fantastic job on our front porch - new decking, new railings and other fixes we didn't even expect. Great end result. They were very nice the whole time. Highly recommended.

We had an outside wood staircase and some shed doors both of which needed to be replaced and re-worked. He did an a great job. When we need to reinforce our deck he gave us a very reasonable price to redo the whole thing in composite with beautiful railings. He was very responsive to our concerns and was willing to add on a deck addition with a portico that looks amazing! Great professional workmanship.

He was fantastic at answering all of our questions on the feasibility of a partial repair and helped us see the bigger picture of longevity depending on all options on the table. In the end we decided if we wanted it done right and have something that will last, we should invest in a full rebuild. And boy are we glad we did! He and his team worked quickly and efficiently to build us the perfect deck and we can't wait to spend many hours outdoors enjoying every bit of it. David is a highly capable worker and project manager. He and his crew skillfully executed a $55k+ renovation on our new home, updating it from the 1970s to our dream retirement home in Fredericksburg. They renovated and improved every room in the house, including replacing 85% of our entire 3000sqft flooring.

David built a beautiful custom window panel stair railing that is a testament to his skill and craftsmanship.
